El Paso County Medical Society

We are here to improve our community's health by empowering physicians through education, advocacy, and engagement.

"The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease."
William Osler

Our Story

In 1879, the El Paso County Medical Society (EPCMS) was formed. Throughout the years, our mission has always been one of advocacy for the health care profession. The cultivation of communication among and between health care providers as well as within the communities they serve has been a vital role of EPCMS.

Our Mission

Today the Mission of EPCMS, “To empower physicians through advocacy, education and engagement” allows the Society to facilitate a collaborative network of one of our community’s most essential resources – our physicians and their medical practices. We bring together a cohort of community partners and sponsors to support these goals in support of both clinical and non-clinical member needs.

El Paso County Medical Society is a component member of the Colorado Medical Society. Together, we promote our members in all facets of their professional, business, and individual lives.

Our Vision

Empowering Physicians, Enriching Dynamic Care: Our vision is to be the leading medical society with its professionally inspired and engaged community of physicians.
